During the summer of 2018, after only running a handful of ultras, Menna Evans ran John O’Groats to Land’s End (JOGLE), covering distances of 26 to 34 miles a day, typically 6 days per week. Amounting to 37 ultra marathons in 41 days, and a total distance of 1,050 miles Menna used trails such as the West Highland Way, Offa’s Dyke and the Cornish Coastal paths to reach Land’s End.
During the last week of the JOGLE, she realised she wanted to do something even bigger and more challenging and came up with the idea of running the full length of New Zealand. Having determined the then current Guinness World Record was 52 days and 15hrs, Menna thought this would be an epic adventure and on the 1st January 2020, she began a journey of 1,280 miles.
Come and hear how Menna survived and what it took to manifest her dream.
