Gert Lush Events was the brain child of Paul Breen. In Pauls pursuit to embrace his love of endurance events, improving mental health and raising money for charity, he stumbled upon the idea of organising an event that combined all three.

After meeting Lazarus Lake and being given the go ahead to organise The Berkeley Marathons UK, the adventure started in 2023 with the first edition of the race. There were no finishers. 

Gert Lush Events hold other challenges throughout the year including the Medieval and Breakheart Backyard Ultras and the 50k Dock 2 Dock, Gloucester Docks to Sharpness Docks.

We were honoured to have Paul and Gert Lush exhibit at the Bristol Show in 2023 and we are very grateful that Paul will be giving a talk at this year’s inaugural Cardiff Running Show.
