Author Sarah Woodley-Williams has produced a humorous, illustrated book designed to bring a smile to the face of the injured runner. If you love running, succumbing to an injury will likely not come easily to you. Yet injury is a part of life which is pretty much inevitable from time to time. ‘How to survive an injury… with Ben’ is a humorous self-help guide, which looks at how we, as runners, can struggle to come through injury, through the character of running-obsessed Ben. In this talk, the book’s author, Sarah, invites us to get curious about our own relationship to running, to delve in to our sometimes-obsessive runners’ minds, and consider some of the lesser spoken about ideas surrounding injury from a light-hearted but thoughtful standpoint.
