Lliswerry Runners, Newport’s friendly running club were born in 1985 from a simple fun run and a shared love of movement. Lliswerry Runners has grown from 12 founding members to over 600 strong. With deep roots in the local community and a proud tradition of welcoming runners of all abilities, they continue to champion participation, personal challenge, and connection.

The club offers:

• Training at Newport Stadium
• A couch to 5k
• Weekly training, social runs, and the iconic Lliswerry 8 race
• A thriving junior section nurtures the next generation
• Still wearing the maroon & white with pride
